Current Goal

The Bean would like to travel to Eugene, Oregon to visit its name sake "Kenyon" and once there would like to return to Post Falls, Idaho. The Bean loves to travel and is willing to go anywhere as long as it gets to a cache named "Who can stand?" (GCBD2D) by June 4, 2003. If this happens then Kenyon will receive a rather unique birthday surprise.

About This Item

The Bean

This year my wife and I became Aunt and Uncle to Kenyon. It didn't take us long to fall in love with Kenny and adopt a nickname, The Bean. While visiting us in November I introduced The Bean's mom and dad to Goecaching and they returned to Oregon, purchased a GPS, and started visiting caches. Each week we would get a note stating which new caches they had visited and each time The Bean have visited there too. So this Travel Bug is a birthday present to The Bean. We hope it makes it to him on time, but if not please keep moving it towards the designated cache. As The Bean moves along its way, feel free to wish Kenyon a "happy first birthday" in your log notes. His mom and dad will be following The Beans progress and will read our Bean your wishes. Have fun!

On On,

I found the Bean along I-90 in Eastern Washington. He is now in Seattle, and I'll do my best to get him quickly into a cache that will help him in his journey south to Eugene.

Well, what kinda beans we talkin here? Colombia? Sumatra? Ethiopian? If there is one thing I know, it's beans! And I sure have not heard of a kenyon bean. I have heard of Kenyan Mighty fine coffee. Happy 1st birthday Bean. We will be placing the bean in a new cache we are placing along I-90 this weekend. Hopefully it will get a bit closer to I-5 then perhaps head southward. We are actually head down towards Eugene in the end of June, but that won't really help. Happy trails bean

We found this on a very long day of Geocacheing and did not know the story behind it until we made it back home. I like the story and will see what we can do to send it in the right direction. Happy Birthday to the Bean. 🤡
