Releasing both the Chemo Chicken and the Lymphoma Lizard at about the same time. Let's see how many miles they each can put on and how many close encounters they have in the years ahead!!
The Chemo Chicken is on the left, the Lymphoma Lizard on the right.
After undergoing a diagnosis of Lymphoma and the subsequent Chemo, I decided to release these bugs in celebration of completion of the first 6 treatments. (Since then I now have done an additional 2). When you find one of these bugs, the first thing I ask is to pause and think of anyone you might know that is going through Chemotherapy. Say a little prayer, give a little thought, maybe give them a call and wish them well. I know this is a bit mushy, but it really does help the person to get through a tough time in their lives. Thanks, and keep these guys moving. JK........Update, Fall of 2006: After about 3 years of remission I was declared to be having a relapse following the results of a routine set of scans and then more biopsies during this past summer. The Docs said one treatment to consider would be to have a Stem Cell Transplant. After thoroughly researching and being tested for this and also finding a matching donor, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the beast had spontaneously regressed on it's own. So for the time being, I'm doing fine. Thanks for the support! In honor of this momentous event, I re-tagged another Lizard (he kind of looks like a dinosaur) and sent him on his way.

I feel very bad about this one. I have been searching high and low for ages. As it had lost his attachment and was only the tag it is very hard to find. I truly feel the tag is somewhere in my home but my wife cleanes my desk often and moves things to the strangest places sometimes. I will continue to search for the tag when I get home but I am off to the Middle East for a while and do not know when I will return. I am very sorry and do hope to find this tag again.
If you wish when I return I will send you a set of unactivated tags for miss placing your bug. Again I am sorry.

Found this one today while out caching with some friends. Sadly he seems to have slipped shed his skin. Only the TB Tags remain. The lizard that is supposed to be attached has escaped. I will look around some of the local stores to see if I can find a new one to attach to the tag before setting him free again.
