Travel around the globe to collect stories.
The original N.R.A. travel bug was a disabled .270 Winchester shell. It was used at one time by my father for hunting whitetail deer in Michigan. I started reloading .270 shells and decided to keep one as my travel bug. (This bug is NOT dangerous, all the explosive powder and primer have been removed and holes drilled into the case to prove such). However, someone stole, lost, didn't log the original version. Every travel bug comes with 2 tags. I took the COPY tag and made version 2. This one is empty 44mag cartridge. I hope this one will continue the legacy of version 1.
The main purpose of this travel bug is to collect stories as it passes from person to person. This travel bug also has the added responsibility for passing on firearm saftey lessons. Please see (visit link) for details.

I'm sorry to report that it looks like NRA has gone missing again. I'm quite disappointed, as this Bug and I have quite a history.
- I was the first finder of this Bug.
- This is the first Travel Bug I ever found.
- I found it in the first week I started caching, back in '03
- In 2005 I found this Bug in once again in Wausau, WI
- I was planning on grabbing this guy and bringing him back to the cache where the journey started.

Decided to retrieve this TB instead of the Joni Mustang TB. Its deer bow hunting season here in MO. right now. It was in a good location for deer if hunting were allowed in the State Park. Deer swim from the point on which this cache is located to an island that is heavily wooded and then back to this heavily wooded point. I tried to take a picture of the area, but the batteries were shot in my digital camera. Plan on leaving this in one of the Cape Girardeau-Jackson MO area caches. There are a lot of hunters there that will appreciate this TB. I'd move it to one of my caches here at Lake Wappapello, but the season is over, and it might not travel again until next Spring when campers start coming to the Lake again. As its a Corps of Engineers Lake, there is plenty of hunting on Corp land just not in areas where I have a cache. Correcting Date retrieved.
