To have as many geocachers as possible take the quiz and post their results (and comments!).
Most people think of politics as linear: left vs right, democrat vs republican, liberal vs conservative. This is simply inadequate and incomplete. This quiz, the World's Smallest Political Quiz, provides two dimensions. These are (1) 'economic' issues, and (2) 'social' issues. The quiz is designed to help you better understand your political beliefs in 2 dimensions. After taking the quiz, post your score when you log this TB. I bet that most geocachers, like most Americans, are freedom loving folks!
There are over 25 “World’s Smallest Political Quiz” travel bugs, each one named after a different person for their contribution to freedom. I certainly have learned a lot researching this topic and these people!
This TB is named after Ayn Rand, a Russian-American author, philosopher, playwright, and screenwriter. She is best known for her 2 best-selling novels, The Fountainhead, and Atlas Shrugged, and for developing a philosophical system she called Objectivism. Atlas Shrugged has been made into a movie numerous times.
Ayn Rand advocated reason as the only means of acquiring knowledge and rejected faith and religion. She supported rational and ethical egoism and rejected altruism. She condemned the initiation of force as immoral, opposed collectivism, statism and anarchy, and instead supported laissez-faire capitalism. A highly influential and controversial person.
