Current Goal

http://uncomm.com/geocache/batfob.jpgAlthough bats can be found everywhere, I prefer
the seclusion of a mountaintop or somewhere deep in the wild that requires a long hike to get to.

My favorite caches are those that take you on long hikes in the woods and wilds. I'd like to visit those caches, even if they are remote and I remain there for a while. That's OK by me because I can hibernate and await the next adventurer to come retrieve me.

About This Item

My dream destination would be somewhere near or just inside a cave.

I got this out of the Silas Doty Cave cache. I didn't realize I took it from its premo destination. I feel like a toad. There was zero litature with it so I had no idea. However, I will drop it off at Bald Mountain tomorrow. If there are no caves, the bats in Michigan mostly dwell in trees.

This encounter with one of our favorite wee beasties was a surprise and a delight. Snake Town Canal Walk was a great place to hide it for it was dark in the woods along the canal and had lots of meals on the wing. However tree cover will soon be gone, bugs once numerous...dead so a new location was the order of this overcast caching day. Until a new location can be found this is an okay place to hang out with others of his/her kind in our back yard. Never too many bats! -benttrikerider(s)
