This was our first coin from the Geocoin Club - the December 2009 Geocoin a tribute to Puzzle Caches. We certainly never intended to "collect" coins, rather we enjoy finding them in caches and collecting their cool icons so we joined the Coin of the Month Club to let as many fellow cachers enjoy our coins as possible. We knew some would go missing - things happen, including floods and council clean-ups - but we got shocked when a couple disappeared early on. Then we spoke to a collector and realised there is a ready market for 2nd hand coins. When we managed to retrieve this coin we decided to create a replica that would allow cachers to enjoy the find and icon and maybe marvel at the clever designers but that would not profit (literally) unscrupulous muggles. Please let us know what you think of the use of such a replica - whichever way you think - love or loathe. We are of 2 minds and we cancelled our subscription to "coin of the month" with regret but switched to creating pathtags. We enjoy designing them and giving them away and they are SUPPOSED to go missing.
