There is a geocahcing bug named Gane. Though its spelled G A N E it is pronounced "Jane." This is his story about becoming a geochache travel bug.
Gane was born into a family of well bred grasshoppers, kind and caring. His family owned a restaurant in Greenland. His father had always told him he was going to own the restaurant but he hated the foul smelling place. That place put the "dirty" in dirty dining.
Gane wanted to be a Geocache travel bug, so he packed his stuff and headed for the states. One night when he was at a Geocaching event, a representative came up to him and said, "hello, I understand you want to be a travel bug." "Yes I do," he said, dreamily gazing at the sky longingly.
Since that night, he had been a travel bug. It's been quite some time. He is now really trying to get back to Greenland. He knows hardly anyone that visits that land but hopes you will move him along his path home.
