Hurray! Dexter has achieved his first goal.
Dexter's next goal is to make it to Colorado and visit Geocacher LaPaglia. Specifically he wants to make it to Navajo Park cache.

About This Item

Dexter 3 & 4

Dexter is a Geo-Hamster.

His goal is to visit hamster-trading geocachers all over the United States.

Leaving live hamsters as a trade item in geocaches is a running joke in the forums started by geocacher Tonsil and kept alive by the unending efforts of The Leprechauns (geocachers extraordinaire).

Dexter’s first goal is to make it to Pittsburgh, PA and visit The Leprechauns.

Then there are several other hamster-trading geocachers he would like to visit. Daddy Leprechaun decides who gets him next, so be sure to check back here to see his current destination.

Since Dexter is a hamster, he likes to scurry. It's more important for him to keep moving than it is for him to travel a long way.

If you take Dexter with you please don't hang onto him for a long time. Place him in another cache within a couple of weeks, even if it's only a few miles nearer his goal.

Please help Dexter toward his goal. And please keep Dexter, his tag, and the instruction sheets together.

Picked this one up today on vacation. My daughters are hamster owners and so we thought that we would take him home (Hot Springs AR) and then release him in a cache around here.

I really liked Dexter. He was cute. We found him in Back to Nature. Mom (Madam Atom) logged him on her log. I played with him a few days before sending him on his way.
