UPDATE (2):

Made the trip to Kernville to try and retrieve our sons coin. It had made quite a trip over the last few years. We found the cache but Joshua's Scion Challenge Geocoin T3 (TB3161D) was not to be found. We had to call Joshua with the sad news. If you happen to come across this coin during one of your adventures please let us know. We’d love to bring it home.

This coins mission is to hit all the caches possible in California!  If your a Scout, post your Troop or Pack Number!

Thanks....

UPDATE:  This Trackable has been on quite the journey.  Thank you to everyone involved in helping it travel the world.  We would love to bring it back home to Kern County so that my son can pick it up in a nearby cache.  Your help in bringing it home would, most certainly, be appreciated.

Thanks,

I was lucky enough to attend the 'Shine and Show' Geocoin / Trackable event here in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. There were a ton of trackables to discover and this was one of them. Thanks for sharing!

Didn't see it there. Maybe we're blind.

Dropped Off 4/28/2018 Pengwinldy placed it in Golden Opportunity California - 103.89 miles  Visit Log

Golden Opportunity: this weekend the Girl Scouts from San Diego came to Kernville for high adventure which included a day of white water rafting and grabbing some local caches. I had a trackable that wanted to come back to Kern County so I’m dropping it here. Hope you can grab it soon.

This King Creeps Me Out: So, I’m taking my Girl Scouts from San Diego white water rafting in Kernville. This was our pit stop. While at Walmart I looked for nearby caches and this one popped up. Ran over here and made the quick find. It truly was one for the numbers. You’re on your way to Kern County.

Visited 4/26/2018 Pengwinldy took it to "Eileen" California - 13.35 miles  Visit Log

“Eileen”: FTF! I saw this pop up last night after I was in bed and decided to get up early to try and find this one. This time it planned out for me. First I drove past and wasn’t comfortable with the parking situation (you could pull over but I didn’t). I went around the block and parked in the dirt lot on Cornish and walked down. Found the place I was looking for and had the cache in hand in just a few moments. Good camo. Watch out for the barbed wire! As I unrolled the log, I saw CTP’s name and was bummed until I saw yesterday’s date and “beta” on the log. Phew!

On the way back to the car, a very friendly kitty named “Oliver” ran up to me and sat down. I gave him some loving and called the number on his tag (yes, at 6:15 AM), in case he was lost. Nope. Apparently Oliver is a hunter and lives on the corner. He followed me back to the car, then across the street and up the steps to his home. All is well.

Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets: Aha! I have avenged my previous DNF. Thanks for replacing it. The first time I tried I was with my hubby and we ended up bewildered in the mall parking lot. The second time, I found the entrance to the chamber but I was alone and dared not venture in too far. The third time I was prepared with DegelDuo and the cache was missing. Today I was once again with DD and we were joined by Grandma Buck, Roxie Mama, and ParkerSaru and we made the find. Yay! Day 16-Make a Gingerbread House: I had stopped by Merrill Gardens up the road for a Girl Scout event and grabbed this cache. I liked the attachment.

btho tu: Stopped for my COTD on the way home today. Parked on the side street and made the short walk to GZ. Took the worry doll and added a penguin.

Water You Think a Milestone Is? 100: Made it to 100 finds years ago, about 3 months into my caching career. Now I’m pushing 1800. My SOP has pretty much been one a day with a few exceptions. I almost blew this one off because when I went to approach GZ a family decided to come out of the restaurant and walk strait to their car/GZ. They took forever so to stall, I ran into the restaurant. When I came out, there was a cop car slowly circling the parking lot. Then he stopped not too far away. What to do? My hubby felt the cop was sufficiently distracted and urged me to go for it. So I did.

Visited 4/21/2018 Pengwinldy took it to Tranquility: Hidden Falls California - 19.53 miles  Visit Log

Tranquility- Hidden Falls: I’d been looking at this one for awhile and today was the day to go find it. I originally missed the turn into the driveway and had to turn around and go back. It was a nice quiet Saturday and I had the place all to myself. The fountain wasn’t on but I was able to get the info I needed. Calculated the final coords and what do ya know, it was pretty much where I had just turned around. I went back found a relatively close parking spot and got to GZ. Looked in the first obvious spot and found a snail but no cache. Then I saw something. That must be it. Yup! Added some swag and a penguin.
