What is Burning Man?

Trying to explain Burning Man to someone who has never been to the event is a bit like trying to explain what a particular color looks like to someone who is blind. Everyone gets something different out of it. For some, Burning Man is an arts festival, music festival, a spiritual reconnection, or a week of extreme camping in the desert. This coin represents Self-Expression
Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient.
