This is one of four sausages on a race from Arizona (home of Milwaukee Brewers' Spring Training) to Wisconsin (home of the Brewers). This sausage is racing to geocaching team “Bea 'n Bapa K" in the Wausau, Wisconsin area.
Milwaukee Brewers/Klements Racing Sausages
In the early 1990s the Brewers/Klements Racing Sausages started to take shape as a cartoon running a virtual race every home game on the giant scoreboard in centerfield. Over the years, lots of buzz developed about the racing weenies and eventually, the virtual race was thrown out and the actual sausages began to race every game. What started, as a fun way to entertain many of the children attending afternoon games became an instant hit with young and old alike. Now, at every home game the crowd cheers on their favorite sausage as the sausages run around the field in the famous Brewers/Klements Sausage Race.
We’re starting a geocaching race for the sausages across the country from Arizona where the Brewers hold training camp back to Wisconsin, home of the Brewers! Each of the four sausages is racing to a different city in Wisconsin where geocaching members of our family are anxiously waiting to pick up their sausage and claim victory as the first to reach its destination! There are four sausages: Bratwurst (#1), Polish Sausage (#2), Italian Sausage (#3) and Hot Dog (#4). Place help our racing weenies along their way!
THE BRATWURST Bratwurst comes to the Brewers after years of Olympic training on the German National team, never quite making it past the trials. He is intimidating to the other participants with his muscular physique. Bratwurst trains like a machine, having not missed a day of weight lifting in years. He is very competitive, and wants nothing more than to win every race. Watch out though, he may stop at nothing to be the best. Hot Dog once found his shoes in the trash only minutes before a race. There was no hard evidence linking Bratwurst to this offense, but speculation abounds.
Bratwurst relishes his aggressive approach to racing. His determination of winning pushes him to a fast start, but he tends to lose wind towards the end. His consumant drive gains the respect of the fans. Another downfall to Bratwurst's performance is his trick ankles. The years of basketball he played in his native Germany have proven to be somewhat detrimental in many races. As long as those ankles hold out, Bratwurst will give anyone a good run for their money.

We surprised to find Bratwurst clear out here in the Nevada Desert for the second time. We got him close to Brewer stadium, but not quit in time for the race last year on the field. He has traveled qutie a bit since then. We will get him back closer to Wisconsin for another try.
Bratwurst has again joined MaxB's Escorted TB Group Tour.
