Family and I retrieved the "Belt Buckle of Truth" from the Lost Peace 2. This is the first travel bug we have found. The kids were very excited. We will be searching for a new location for it in the morning.

My apologies to Cachemancando, NBJPoppa and others confused by BBOT being listed in the WLTDO cache for so long. Today I renewed my membership and after being reminded by Cachemancando last week that I needed to grab WLTDO, I'm finally getting around to transferring it back to me. Thanks Cachemando for continuing the exciting legacy of this TB!

Just got a call from ICacheOnQuik that this TB had been delivered back in whitney Point from the West coast ... via motorcycle ... It's a long story ... but here goes!

CachemanCando takes the bug along to Guide Dogs for the Blind "Fun Day" in Boring,OR. We stayed the night at a motel nearby in Gresham. The next rainy morning Cacheman is relieving and feeding Placer, the Guide Dog puppy, watching a couple packing up thier Harley.

Back in the motel over breakfast, Cacheman, being a fellow biker, strikes up a conversation with the biker couple. Turns out they are from Whitney Point,NY and furthermore the couple's riding buddy, "Knuckles" just happens to maintain ICacheOnQuik's, the TB's owner road!

And so a spur of the moment plot was formed ... return the TB back to it's owners 2000+ miles away in Whitney Point tucked away in a Harley saddlebag! Not a word was said to ICacheOnQuick, and as not to raise suspicion, the bug was 'moved' from cache to cache.

So today "Knuckles" delivers the Belt Buckle of Truth back to it's ecstatic owners, not via the Harley as planned, as there was a bad accident on Route 66 in Kansas and the bike was totalled. The riders spent a week in the hospital and a car was rented to continue thier journey home.

One never knows who and when you may run across in this world. We are gratefull to "Knuckles" for delivering this TB and thankful the accident, bad as it was, wasn't any worse! We wish your wife a speedy recovery!

Turns out "Knuckles" lives 2-3 miles away from ICacheOnQuik!

Cache On ... Stories like these is why we play this game!

PS: Every word of this story is TRUE! 😁 It's a BEAUTIFUL story!

Retrieve It from a Cache 8/15/2008 CachemanCando retrieved it from Monkey Misery Oregon   Visit Log

On second thought...Monkey Misery may not be a safe place for TBs...Retrieved it and will see about placing it in safer hands and send it along it's way. 😁

Discovered It 8/15/2008 Geo Raiders discovered it   Visit Log

Discovered in the hands of Cachemancando. I forgot to wear my belt today during our monster hike. Too bad this TB didn't have a belt attached to it. Hope this useful TB finds it's way back to you soon...You wouldn't want to get caught with your pants down in your anticipated retirement!😁
