My owner is too faint of heart to summit Mt. Whitney so it is my mission to do it for her. Please take a picture of me with the matching benchmark. On the way out West, I wouldn't mind visiting and having my photo taken with other benchmarks. This is not a trivial hike. Do your research and be prepared for anything (rain, lightning, wind, exhaustion, darkness, etc.).
I am a proxy and travelers like me often get left behind because we aren't as fancy as the originals. Believe me when I tell you that I have wanderlust just as strong as those beauties. I am a copy of a copy of one of the benchmarks at the summit of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the lower 48 states.
