Please do not keep me. LET ME TRAVEL FROM CACHE TO CACHE. I want to see distant places anywhere in the world but you can take me to any beautiful place, you like. Please POST PHOTOS of places, where I've been and PUT ME ONLY IN WELL HIDDEN CACHES as I don't want to be stolen. I want to get back to my owner Johny once but now it is time to see the world. P.S.: Please log me only into caches where you really leave me :-). I'll be happy if you show me to your geofriends and let them discover me.
Although I am really a HUGE coin, I am a small version of a Nocturnal. A nocturnal was a navigational tool used to determine the exact time in the times when there were no precise time-measuring devices (since 13th century). I am a working replica so do not hesitate to try me. I only work at a starry night when the constellations are visible. You can find the instructions how to use the nocturnal coin here: http://www.compassrosegeocoin.com/nocturnal.php You can also determine the latitude deviation from the back of the coin to get more accurate position determined by the quadrant (quadrant is an instrument used in navigation). I hope you learn something new for You about old ways of navigation before you put me into another cache. Please remember that navigation used to be a real science before people had modern instruments or even satellite navigation.

If you want to share the joy of watching this amazing coin traveling, I'll be happy if you put it to your watchlist. If You love this coin as much as I do, You can buy your own at www.coinsandpins.com. And remember, seeing the coin moving from cache to cache is much more fun than having it stolen on your shelf :-)). Johny_r
