After running an errand in the area, mdawaffe and I headed out on a short geo-walk as the sun set. It was surprisingly hard to reach this Metro hub on foot from our direction, but after a detour to find a crosswalk, we made our way to GZ. There weren't too many transit patrons this late in the day, and after reading through previous logs, we started our search a bit west of the coordinates for a nice, quick find. No need to leave the sidewalk, and thanks for the addition to the series and the cache.

Did Not Find Almost Paradise
Well, mdawaffe and I didn't have any luck here. We were in the mood for a quick and easy search after picking up an order at the nearby store, but it was not to be. We poked around for a while, happily not drawing any attention from the police car that slowly cruised past, but nothing caught our eye. We presumably had our hands inches away from the cache multiple times, but with daylight fading, we raised the white flag in defeat. Thanks for the hunt.

mdawaffe and I walk by these testaments to Pasadena's roots all the time, so we visited one location for a geocaching souvenir here but saved a different spot for another souvenir there. It's been years of working on the tour by fits and starts, but now our Adventure finally comes to an end. We snagged one last location (that Cosmic Quest won't complete itself!) and wandered over to the final, a lovely oasis we've always enjoyed. It was just our luck that a muggle was sitting near GZ, but our timing wasn't too awful as he soon moved out, leaving the coast clear for a quick grab as we've had a good idea of where to look for a while now. Thanks so much for the find where the journey has been the destination!

Did Not Find The Multis Falcon
It was a dark and stormy night as we chased after that falcon fella. Well, no, not really. It was a bright and sunny afternoon as mdawaffe and I joined the weekend crowds in Old Town. (Apparently they call it Old Pas now? Friends of ours visited once picturing cobblestone streets and quaint eateries; car showrooms and trendy stores definitely confused them.) Nonetheless, we were on the trail of something big. We were going to right a wrong. No matter how many back alleys we had to navigate. Sadly, after following clues left behind, those good-fer-nuthin' scoundrels still managed to escape from our clutches. We searched the area as best we could, even possibly finding a relevant red dot, but the actual goods eluded us. Don't worry, we consoled ourselves with some ice cream and milkshakes, and thanks for the entertaining journey!

Found Wee Kirk O' the Heather Church Location - Forest Lawn - Celebrities, Cherubs, & Churches Adventure Lab Cache
( # 00000 )
mdawaffe and I used the excuse of an errand in Glendale to do some caching (and snacking; we always like visiting new bakeries), and the cluster of Adventure Lab locations drew us to the cemetery as we work on our Cosmic Quest. I had lofty ideas of walking the grounds, but, well, it was hot, shade was sparse, and wow, those are some hills, so we drove between several locations as we took in the ambiance and varied art, artifacts, and final resting places. It's been 15 years since we completed the Virtual here, and thanks for the interesting tour as we celebrate International Geocaching Day!
