Current Goal

My owner, FurballGPS loves to travel. But, imagine my surprise when he dropped me in a Texas cache during an October 2005 trip!

Now I'm homesick and scared. Help me get home! I live just northeast of Indianapolis and my owner can pick me up at the cache "A Place to Ponder" (GCHJHD) in Pendleton, Indiana.

I'm sure if I made it home, my owner certainly wouldn't leave me alone again!

About This Item

Homesick Lizard

I was a fearless lizard sitting on a shelf in FurballGPS's home. Now, it seems I'm screaming with terror.

This poor homesick lizard was so scared and frightened about what was going to happen to him. After spending some time with us he began to feel a little better. We decided to take him on a quick two day vacation and he looked forward to going with us. But he wanted us to know he still wants to get back home to Indiana.

In Maryland we stopped at the Bill's Beach Box cache where we met The Chimacum dragons. You couldn't imagine the immediate chattering and laughter when they met our little homesick lizard. They got along great. They sat in the back having a wonderful time. Later we pulled in to get a snack out of the car and they got out and enjoyed some time together.

It was rather a surprise to us when our little lizard accepted the invitation to stay in Delaware. It is true there are many people traveling through this area. We know he wants to get back to Indiana and are hoping that someone will soon come through and take him on his way. We have really grown to love this little guy. It is our wishes that he has fun here but soon gets back home. And a special message to FurballGPS, this special little guy really likes you and would really love to be back in your home with you. We'll be watching for you to be together again.

This is sad, so very sad. If only we could take off and get this poor scared homesick lizard back home. We would go right now and get him back to Indiana. How could his owner do this to him?

I imagine he is frightened. I know he sure was happy to see us. We will take care of him for a few days and then will do what we can to help him on his way. Maybe we can give him some tender loving care and some encouragement,

I hope whoever picks him up next will take very good care of him and help him to get back home.

I love lizards! This guy should feel right at home, I'll put him in my tank Harry the turtle at my school, see if he relaxes at all.

He doesn't look all that scared to me...how is he on planes? He doesn't get air sick does he??!? lol! Will be taking him to Western New York this weekend and dropping him there...that's sort of on his way to Indiana isn't it? Yes, I know it's farther than he wanted to go, but it's not bad for his first leap!
