Current Goal

I would like to have adventures and perhaps learn what Scouts and Guides are doing.  Please do not feel that it should visit each cache just to get miles.  Grab, Retrieve, Place, and Discover are plenty.

Wood Woggle thinking about Scouts and travel

I learned how to make this at BSA Wood Badge Training. (I used to be an Eagle and am finished working my ticket.) A Boy Scout would wear a 'woggle' or slide on his neckerchief. I'm releasing it on Thinking Day - when Girl Scouts think about girls all over the world. If you are/were a Scout or Guide, let me know what sorts of Scout things you enjoy - your favorite place to camp, song, recipe, memory, etc.

I was lost and some kind geocachers revitalized me and I was an army man for a bit.  I am once again a Wood Woggle, but blue rather than red.

Picked this up at Kaya in the Woods in Sizerville State Park in Pennsylvania. This was our first visit to this park and we're looking forward to doing some camping here next spring. Our two daughters are currently Brownie girl scouts, and my wife is their leader. She is familiar with World Thinking Day and the connection between Lord Baden Powell and Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts. We'll move this travel bug along asap. Thanks!

I've heard about these knots but never could figure it out. (After all it took me nearly a month to master bowline)I was a member of Troop 67 (Catawissa, PA) until I turned 18. Only reached the rank of Star but the skills I've learned have allready proved useful in many an occasion.

Will be going out to the Western part of the state in approx. two weeks and will let this bug continue its adventures there unless a more interesting place pops up in my travels.
