Current Goal

Jolly Mon wants to have his picture taken in Key West at Mallory Square during the Sunset celebration. Afterwards, he wants to have his pic taken at beaches along the way back to his home in Louisiana so his parrothead owner can recover him, recycle him and direct him to other beaches.

    We were mortified to find this trackable that we had retrieved but then never placed -- and somehow it was not in our inventory (so we did not realize we still had it). Anyway, we have placed it in a cache and hope it gets moving again). Very sorry -- we have had all of our trackables disappear and we know how disappointing that is. bejs

    see my log from 1 year ago, yesterday. I found the colored parrot dogtag in Arlington, Tx after its prior log the year before in Ireland. I added a colorful Donkey, not swapped.

    Not sure why you are surprised. Check my log of October 2009. The original parrot disappeared out of my lounge with my GPS, laptop and other bits and pieces.

    Someone exchanged the original Jolly Mon with a Donkey of all things.
    I guess the Parrot was too cute and they took it.
    Anyway this is not the original Parrot that started out.
    I will be cancelling Jolly Mons' status as a travel bug.

    Picked up near the top of a mountain inside the city limits of Staunton, Virginia -- a lovely and fun town. But with Jolly Mon having already been to New Zealand and Europe, we will have to think about how to get him down toward Key West. No southern trips planned, so he might end up touring a bit in the nation's capital region.
