Imperial Klingon Vessel Hyena is a Barbarous Class D-6 Battlecruiser.
IKV Hyena’s mission is to expand the influence and control of the Klingon Empire through intimidation and conquest of planets (Caches) and their systems throughout the galaxy.
The D-6 was first ‘modern’ Klingon cruiser. The D-6 was built in such huge numbers, however, that the Klingons did not need to spend money on light cruisers to stretch the cruiser force a little further; they could simply use the D-6. Dozens of D-6 hulls are in storage (ready to be activated by reserve crews in time of war) and some were even sold to the Romulans who refitted them with cloaks and Romulan weapons.
