The mission of this Travel Bug is to travel safely to Lake City, MN cache GC1GHZ3 (Birthplace of Waterskiing!) which overlooks the cemetery where Mark is buried.

This Travel Bug is in memory of Mark W. Peters of Lake City, Minnesota. Mark was a volunteer EMT that died November 9, 1995 in a fiery ambulance accident when the driver lost control during slippery road conditions. Mark left behind a wife and two beautiful children.

Still, I'm holding this TB, but I've toured it around some an am sending it to a pretty cool event. It's going to a MegaEvent in Rock Hill, SC this weekend. Geocoinfest 2011!!! There, a more responsible carrier will pick it up and move it along. :) Sorry for keeping it so long.

As usual, I'm keeping this TB too long. Sorry about that. Took a trip to NYC with my strike team for Hurricane Evacuations, but didn't find a cache container large enough to hold this TB. I dipped it in one, to give some mileage. I'll either pass this to another fellow medic/cacher to move it, or just find TB hotel here in town to deposit it in. Either way, it's sure to move quicker when it's out of my hands. :) Sorry for holding it so long.

I typically don't pick up travel bugs (since I'm bad about moving them along quickly), but being that I'm a paramedic, I HAD to pick this one up.

I'm so sad to see the story behind this traveler. How tragic. RIP, Brother Mark. I know your fellow EMTs miss you dearly.

I will try to send this travelbug North. So far, I picked it up in GA and it's in SC with me now.
