About This Item

This German geocoin celebrates my German Ancestry. My GGGGG-Grandfather, John Doub, or Johannes Daub, was born near Koln in 1743, and came to the United States. He was an early Methodist Minister, and tanner, and I even read an account of him dousing for Gold in North Carolina!

My friends tell me that Geocoins have a 30% chance of getting stolen. Please don't steal this one! Geocoins need to be free to see the world, just like any other bug. I let this one free because I have faith in human kind.

    Discovered Anne's German Ancestry Geocoin Log (no coin w/log) in Shady Grove Cemetery Cache GCVFCF outside of Mobile, Alabama USA. The Geocoin Log has been to Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, Wyoming, and Canada - British Columbia. We will place the Geocoin log in Mississippi soon. We will also stop by Shady Grove and recheck for geocoin.
