Travel to places where you're likely to need a Plan B, or backup, such as places it's going to rain or snow, or where you travel extremely far to find a cache, but it's too far from civilisation to do anything if you fail to find it.
I found this coin in a cache up in Central Otago, with badly damaged packaging. When I tried to log it, I found that it had not been activated. I tried to contact the owner, but he had not found any caches or participated in anything geocaching related ever, and had not logged in for over 2 years. So I took the coin and activated it myself, but left the packaging as it was just a burden. Don't alert me if you think something is missing from the coin e.g. packaging or label, because I know it doesn't have any.
