Current Goal

To race against the 1997 Red Corvette (TB34BD) to see which can travel the most miles. Please keep this Mustang moving.

About This Item

Original mission won by the Mustang: This Mustang was released with a '97 Corvette on 8/28/02. They would like to race to the California coast and back a la the Cannonball Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dashes of the early 1970's. Please take one or the other and see which one can make it to any Cache along the California coast and back to "A walk in the Park Cache"(GC8649) in upstate NY, 12309. The winner will be the first one to complete the round trip. Good luck to both cars. After taking the long way, the Mustang has reached the coast and can now start heading back east.

    Of course a Mustang can beat a Corvette anywhere!! I had a mustang when I was 18, many moons ago!!! Mustangs are my favorite muscle car, oh to have it back again, I think I paid $800 for it in 1976. Thanks for the memories!!

    Went out GeoCaching the other weekend but everything was micros and small caches. No room for TBs. Hopefully I will get out soon to drop it off.

    Glad to see I found a winning car, like there was any doubt a Mustang could beat a corvette. I hope he gets to see many more states on his journey to who knows where.

    I think I should have left this one in the cache for I have taken it farther from its destination. I will be going back to NY soon and will try and put it closer if not in its destination cache.
