I'm a friend of the third grade class at Shreiner Academy in Marietta Georgia. The class created a geocache as part of a class project. The cache includes two travel bugs. I am one of those travel bugs. Here's my story....
As a class travel bug my life began with a vote on my name. Being a stuffed Brontosaurus with a tag on my leg limited the options. The vote was clear, leave the name alone...I'm Bronty the Brontosaurus
Next we voted on where I wanted to go. Here it was a little different. The teacher decided to make an executive decision sending me to one of her favorite places, Yankee Stadium. It seems that she is a huge Yankees fan and she wanted me to experience the pure joy of visiting the center of the Yankee universe. The deal was done; I’m heading to Yankee Stadium.
Next I needed a purpose for my travels. Here the vote was tight. Some anti-Yankee forces thought I should go to see the Red Sox play. This was quickly overruled and it was decided that I should visit Yankee Stadium to sample the world famous hot dogs.
The last item on the list was to define my story line. What was it about hot dogs that would make me take such a long trip? As you may know a Brontosaurus is a plant eater. You may not spend much thought on such things but being a plant eater is boring. It was time for a break out. I need a hotdog.
Well that’s my story. I hope you will take time to help me on my way and if possible make a note so I can share my adventures with the class.
