Retrieved this from Mt. Persis, Washington. Set out in the rain this morning around 7 a.m. This cache definitely deserves the 5 star terrain rating. Route finding was difficult at times -- particularly in the boulder fields. I worked hard and made it to the top a bit before 10 a.m. There was no one else on the mountain today -- actually no one has been up here in a long time. I had thought about trying for the Persis-Index traverse today, and had a cache ready for Index, but visibility was zero, and being alone, I opted for the intelligent choice and said this one was enough.
I hope to take this TB to the summit of Mt. Rainier during the next couple of weeks.
