Rusty cache finder's Rusty Hoopty wants to travel as far as possible and to as many bonus caches he can by February 6, 2009.
This race car is in the Kern County Cacher’s 2008/2009 TB Road Race.
Race Rules
1. Only one racer is allowed per Geocaching user.
2. Your racer will earn one mile for every mile it travels. The
most miles wins. Owners may move their own racer as much as they
want.
3. Racers will earn a bonus 100 miles for every unique cacher who
moves it. A cacher can move your racer multiple times, but only 100
miles will be awarded for that single cacher. Discoveries do not
count.
4. Bonus Caches: If your racer is placed (or dipped) in a
designated bonus cache, your racer will earn 500 bonus miles. Bonus
cache miles can only be earned once so multiple placements in the
same cache will only result in one 500 mile bonus. Picture proof of
the racer at or near the cache is highly encouraged, but not
required.
Click here for a list of bonus caches:
5. Additional
bonuses: If your racer leaves your home state and returns to a
cache owned by you in your home state, you will be awarded 500
bonus miles. If your racer leaves your home country and returns to
a cache owned by you in your home state, you will receive 1000
bonus miles. All racers will be released from California, so if you
live in Oregon, your racer will have to re-enter Oregon, leave
Oregon again, and then return to Oregon to receive the bonus. If
you have not placed a cache, then you will need to place a cache to
receive this bonus. Again photographic evidence of your racer at
your cache is highly encouraged, but not required.
6. Grand Theft Auto: Kidnapping of cars is allowed and encouraged.
If you are a registered participant in the KCC 2008/2009 TB Road
Race you will earn bonus miles for kidnapping and moving an
opponent’s car. For every mile you move an opponent’s car, you will
receive those bonus miles. However, your opponent will also receive
those miles. If you kidnap an opponent’s car and move it 435 miles,
you will receive 435 bonus miles. If you place an opponent’s car in
a bonus cache, you will also receive 500 bonus miles, but so will
your opponent.
!WARNING! The California Highway Patrol takes GTA very
seriously and investigates it vigorously. If you hold onto a hot
ride for longer than 7 days, the CHP will catch you. Your racer
will be penalized 500 miles for every day over 7 days you hold onto
an opponent’s car. That 7 days is cumulative for the entire race
per specific opponent’s racer.
8. Racers can only be moved by a live, registered Geocacher.
Sending racers by mail and virtual moves will not be allowed.
9. All racers were released to their owners at the
Kern County Cacher's 2008/2009 TB Road Race Start Line Event.
10. The race ends on Friday February 6, 2009 at midnight PST. All log
entries will have to be received in my e-mail at that time. The
finish line event will be Saturday February 7, 2009.
