Monkey Bear wants to experience America. He wants to travel far and wide, seeing famous and secret places along the way. He will be released in San Francisco, and would like to ultimately make it back to our home cache-Shady Neighborhood in Vernon, CT. Who knows what adventures lie between.

Monkey Bear and Elmo visited Movie Flats Road in the Alabama Hills below Mt. Whitney. These rocks were the movie backdrops for Gunga Din, numerous cowboy movies, and the Kevin Bacon movie Tremors. Mt. Whitney is, of course, the highest point in the lower U.S.
