About This Item

The coin

Another of Christopher Rake's excellent geocoins :-) This one is part of a three-coin set that was in two parts each, held together by a magnetic. The owner of each coin keeps the thinner piece as a "Proof of Ownership", and sends out the thicker piece. A really nifty idea, but ultimately too costly to continue using with all of his coins.

We attended the event Christmas in June but didn't pick this coin up from there. Someone who did placed it in geocache A.S.188 which we found two days later. We picked up this gorgeous geocoin to move it along. I used to do patchwork and love the design. Thanks for sending it out to travel. We'll move it on...
