Feed the Pig

I told my sister that I was looking for a durable brass pig to serve as a Travel Bug for CapFantasy’s Chinese New Year Travel Bug theme. This brass pig in its original state looked more like a fat mouse with long legs.
Cap ended up going with a resin pig that worked out much better at the time.
So, there I was, stuck with this rather odd looking paperweight. One night while watching TV, I seen this government sponsored Feed the Pig commercial that gave me an idea to give the brass pig a renewed purpose.
I reworked the nose, cut a penny slot in his back and made a hole in his tail to attach the TB tag.
So that’s pretty much it, in a sow’s ear handbag. His more useful mission now is to encourage people to practice saving a little money for a rainy day as he travels from one cache to another.
A posted picture taken of the Travel Bug sitting next to your favorite coin bank would certainly make his journey more interesting, but I’ll leave that up to the current holder.

"Feed the Pig" is in good condition and has plenty of money put away for a rainy day! "Feed the Pig" is on his way to Texas and will find a nice TB Hotel to stay in until he travels again.
