There are 32 points on a compass rose. Each point has a name. I have activated 32 compass rose coins named after each point of the compass. Each point is named after the 32 directions of the wind. The purpose of the compass point coin series is to educate people on the names of the directions of the compass.

The Compass Rose 2007 geocoin was designed after a 1700s era compass rose. Compass roses started in the 1300s and were used on maps since then. These became the standard worldwide for navigating the world.
