This is now the third launch of my special tribute to my late Dad..... Now it is a plasticmodel of an engine. not quite as special to look at, but just as special to ME!
Arthur travelled so far and was simply STOLEN. Do I say it is 'Missing?', No I think bad bad cachers just took it, hope they are having fun with my wonderful little engine. Then out went Arthur 2... stolen again.... so now mk3!
Arthur's mission is to travel everywhere, especially around trains and stations. His ultimate dream is to travel to Bradford, and even the museum in York!!!
If taken to events, please ensure it is logged both in and out correctly, as several bugs of mine have gone to meets and simply vanished! Thanks.
This is a RELAUNCH, and I feel a little sad, Arthur 1 travelled so far and people were very kind to the Wench re photos etc., then.... well don't get me started.... Still the Wench will not be beaten so here gores Arthur the Relaunch, sounds like an epic film title....
Arthur, from Thomas the Tank Engine and friends is a metal LMS tank engine 9.5 x 4.5cm.
Thomas always seems a little jealous of Arthur as he is always helpful and very smart.
This TB is in memory of my Dad Arthur Cresswell who passed away in 1967.
He was a well know model railway engineer and several of his creations can be seen in the National Railway Museum in York, and even in the Cairo Museum, Egypt! He was foreman for Edward Exley in Bradford.
He was a well respected model engineer and even had his obituary in Model Railway News.
I have so many happy memories so thought Arthur the TB could make his mark on the world of today.
I miss my dear Dad very much and I hope this little engine can bring a smile to all cachers who meet him.
Steam is still the dream..... happy days.... Attached to Arthur is a small keyring giving a brief insight to his simple mission, and a replica dog tag is attached. Good luck this time Arthur, be good. WW

On theme, he's quite close to the miniature railway in Cassiobury Park right now! I saw it on my way home after visiting him.
