Buzsak is a little settlement not far from lake Balaton, which is more than 500 years old and with the flourishing traditions, architectural sights, traditional programmes are significant touristic attractions. During the 15th and 16th centuries a great number of Dalmatien, Illyrien and Croatian families settled down in this area with own traditions.Such a unique culture began to develop that is typical only of this community. Famous is the traditional embroydery. The most wonderful pieces can be seen in a permanent exhibition in the Villag Hall, and in the Village Museum. The most ancient monument in the village is theRomanesque White Chapel. 13th-century White Chapel was built in a Romanesque style. This single-nave little church with its round-arched sanctuary has been rebuilt several times. Since the latest reconstruction its original Romanesque and Baroque details are once again on view . Walled up between the 17th and 18th centuries the Romanesque windows and the round-arched south doorway have recently been reopened. Once again the south doorway is the main entrance. Despite having experienced several troubled periods over the centuries, the church has managed to protect its most remarkable heritage; a carved wooden Renaissance altar, decorated with a grapevine motif which was made in 1704. A statue of the Virgin Mary now kept in the village church and always dressed in a cloak of the appropriate colour to the given liturgical season originally stood here. The church can be approached either via the Kossuth Street or the 1st of May Street. It may be visited upon prior request. On Mt. John are historic thatched wine-cellers in a wonderful natural environment. Near the village situated Csisztafürdo, is visited by many people because of its 42°C-warm medical water
