[ENG] Tjeldbergtind, 367 meters above sea level, is the most frequented mountain in the surroundings of Svolvær. The view from the mountain is simply breathtaking and is well worth the effort. You will have a splendid view of Svolvær, the sea with its manifold of islands, and all the major mountains in the region.
There are several ways to get up the mountain and you may need around an hour, depending on your form. The easiest, and recommended approach to the mountain, is to follow the dirt road that leads up to the radio link, and when you are almost at the end of the road, at a sharp left turn, enter the trail heading right, following the sign “Tjeldbergtind” (see waypoint).
.
The ascent of the very top part calls for some easy climbing (a fixed rope may provide some support). However, there is also an easier route to the peak, just follow the trail with red markings branching left below the top part..
The cache is placed in the vicinity of the summit.
