Traditional Cache in the botanical garden of Akureyri.
Lystigarður Akureyrar is the marvellous botanical garden of Akureyri. It is accessible between 8 am and 10 pm on weekdays resp. 9 am to 10 pm during weekends. There are several parking facilities. The most convenient might be at the hospital, i.e. N 65°40.466 W 018°05.626 The cache is located within the garden near the section for Icelandic plants. So you can follow the signs FLORA ISLANDICA. It should be an easy find. Perhaps it’s too easy. Please hide the cache carefully and watch for muggles. ATTENTION! According to D=1 and due to the hint it should be obvious, where the cache is hidden. However, due to elemental forces the cache goes astray now and then. In this case the difficulty can increase enormously while the terrain rating might go up slightly, too. If you find the cache elsewhere under such circumstances , please put it back to the place described in the hint. Iceland is a fascinating country. After two weeks vacation and some great cache findings I could not resist the temptation to deposit this vacation cache. I intend to maintain the cache in the course of future summer holidays in Iceland. I anticipate, there‘ll be many of them. However, that seems not to be sufficient. According to Groundspeak‘s maintenance guideline I‘m supposed to make an arrangement with a local geocacher. If someone could offer help in case of short-term problems, please let me know.
