W1NG: This cache and several other caches along the Larkin State Park Trail are not accessible at this time due to the damage that was cause during the severe rain storm of August 18, 2024. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environment Protection (DEEP) has closed the trail in this area until further notice. It is rumored that the State will repair the Trail but that may not happen until some time in 2025 or even 2026.

I am committed to re-activating, repairing and reestablish these caches when access to these caches is permitted.

Welcome to the Larkin State Park Trail Series

 

 

This is a series of caches along the Larkin State Park Trail (LSPT). This trail is 10.3 miles long and takes one back to the great railroad days of the late 1800s and early 1900s. It follows an old railroad trail through the four towns of Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oxford and Southbury.
