DaVinci Code Cache II Mystery Cache

We had to archive our Da Vinci Code Cache (it vanished…), but there’s another puzzle now! Again, we adapted this new puzzle (which has its origin in a current #1 best-selling book) because it is so beautifully designed, written and presented in a style which would be extremely hard to accomplish without a major commitment in time and expertise.

The puzzle has five major hurdles and a few ancillary obstacles to make it quite difficult and challenging. The clear objectives will tax your concentration, keep you focused and very pleasantly entertained.

Besides that, you’ll also have a chance to enter a drawing to win a spectacular prize if you solve the puzzle (not the cache!) before midnight January 5, 2004

The posted coordinates are close to the local CIA office (which, for this cache, is quite appropriate). Do not go there!

Once you have solved the Puzzle, you need to extract the cache coordinates from some of the information obtained:

The cache coordinates are derived from the ‘Great Circle’ Distance and Bearing from the ‘Enigmatic Sculpture’ coordinates.

Great Circle Distance : 3697XYZ.424 metres, True Bearing : 274º 37’ 13.7431”

X = Numeric Value of 1st letter of ‘He who knows’
Y = Number of letters of the two middle words of solution #3
Z = Sum of letters of the answer to the first ‘testing question’
XYZ = (X*Y) + Z

Camouflaged cache is a micro (volume about two cubic inches) and holds small trinkets. It has a log but you’ll need to bring your own pen.
As with all our caches no force is required, only two fingers.
