Geocache Description:

This Meetinghouse is still in use. Please do not cache during services and always be respectful of the area.

There was previously a cache at this site. It had not been found in over a year and I knew the CO was no longer in the game, so I requested that it be archived. Jeff then told me where it had been. I looked and, sure enough, it was there. However, it was too late - it had been archived. So I removed the old container and placed a new one near the original coordinates.

Mill Creek Meetinghouse was built in 1840 for 33 Quakers from Mill Creek Hundred who had obtained permission to hold their worship services separately from the New Garden Monthly Meeting. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. A wrought iron fence encircles a cemetery to the east.
