In a time gone by, legend has it that the stagecoach used to take a shortcut over White Mountain Road in order to avoid going the long way to its next point. However, it just so happened that Billy The Kid would sometimes visit his father's brother Robert and, when in town, he occasionally practiced his craft upon the local lanes. Can you make it from Haviland Hollow Road to find the treasure before Billy makes his move?
The treasure is hidden in an ammo can not far from the trail. Besides gold bullion, the initial contents of the treasure chest were a log book, Something of Pooh, hand-warmers, and some assorted goodies.
This cache is in one of my favourite spots in this area, the Michael Ciaiola Conservation Area in Patterson, New York.
Alternate parking is available, but the listed coordinates give you more options for hiking in this area.
There is no need to bushwhack to this cache. Please trust the trails.
