This park is notorious for turtles crossing up at the bridge where Almonesson Lake turns
into the creek that runs throughout the park. Unfortunately, they don't all make it across
the street... But one time, I was driving by and seen a big foot long turtle right
in the middle of the road, I pulled over, rushed out when traffic passed and scooped him up
by the sides. He wasn't happy, and hissed at me throughout the whole 15 second ordeal of
being moved to a safe side of the road.
So I knew this had to be turtle themed. And then I remembered that viral video and the
aftermath of that poor kid on the news who answered "I like turtles" to a question totally
unrelated to turtles or the situation that they were covering. Just Google "I like turtles"
and click "images", you'll see. It just exploded.
Well, hopefully this Geocache will go viral too for being fun! I've loaded it with plenty of
swag, but I really would love it if people brought anything TURTLE related to leave for trade too!
The cache is a cookie jar size container. Post lots of photos! Selfies with the container are
great, I worked hard on it! Show it! As long as you don't show it's hiding spot anywhere in the
photo, I'm all for it!
This one is meant to be found and to have fun with the turtle theme, it will not be difficult, but
not obvious either, but just be safe in the woods. Turtles are fun, ticks are not!
