A beautiful site for a quick stop, a short stop and to have a picnic at. You can learn lots about the Underground Railroad and the quilts that concealed secret patterns that held messages in them, and the rich history of Iowa's participation in that particular geographic area. Iowans did much to aid the "runaways" who were seeking the most basic of human freedoms. Rover likes this stop, but I can never find him! As soon as we stop, he scoots out the door like he smells ice cream or something. We need to put a longer leash on him. I'd better leave and find him before he starts rolling in something! Have fun!
