Kulate kameny
Kamenne kulovite objekty se nachazeji ve starem kamenolomu
nad obci Vidce. Behem tezby piskovcoveho kamene zde byly
obnazeny velke kulovite objekty o prumeru az 3 metry,
prevazne eliptického ci vejcitého tvaru. Ve skalni stene
jsou polokoule zapustenych objektu. Na jejim upati doposud
volne lezi velke ovalne balvany. Jednu velkou
"kamennou kouli" vejciteho tvaru presunuli mistni obcane
ke kostelu N49° 26.456 E18° 5.739. Na vychodnim svahu
kamenolomu lezi piskovcova koule o prumeru cca 160 cm,
rozdelena jakoby rezem na tri casti. Na lomu je videt
slozeni objektu. Je zcela z piskovcoveho slepence se zrnem
o hrubosti do asi 1 cm. Povrch koule je hladky a jemnozrnny.
Klimaticka eroze z neho postupne odlupuje tenke zaoblene
supiny jako kdyz se "loupe cibule".
Kamenna koule s neobvyklou bilou vyplni se nachazi
nekolik metru od vyse zmineneho objektu. Tato kamenna koule
castecne vycniva ze skalni steny a je na tezko dostupnem
miste. Zajimavy je otvor na jejim povrchu. Pokud se do
otvoru podivate, zjistite, ze vnitrni cast koule ma jinou
vypln. Obvodovy piskovcovy plast koule je asi 5 až 6 cm
silny, vnitrek vyplnuje svetla hmota pripominajici vapenec.
Po celem jejim povrchu jsou praskliny, takze se trochu
podoba "puklemu vejci".

tak aby byl videt i objekt kamene).

Spherical stones
Spherical stone objects are situated in the old stone pit
over the village Vidce. Huge spherical objects with
diameter up to 3 metres were uncovered during mining
of sandstone, most of them has elliptical or oval shape.
Hemispheres of several objects are embeded in a cliff,
meanwhile some stones are situated at the foot of the cliff.
One of these huge egg-shaped stones was moved by locals
towards a church N49° 26.456 E18° 5.739.
There is a sandstone object on the east side of the stone
pit, which has diameter about 160 cm and which
is divided as being sliced to three parts.
One can see the structure on the slices. It is completely
made of sandstone with coarse grit up to 1 cm,
its surface is smooth and fine-grained. Climatic erosion
causes exfoliation of thin rounded scales, as if it was an onion.
Another stone ball with unusual white filling
is located several meters away from the main object
mentioned above. It is partly embedded to the cliff and
situated on a badly accessible place.
An interesting hole is on its surface.
If you look into this hole, you can see that the inside of
this object is different from the material on the surface.
The sandstone cover is 5 – 6 cm thick and the inside
is filled by a light calcitelike material. There are also
splits on the whole surface so the object looks
like a cracked egg.
WARNING !!! – Don’t enter the stone pit from the centre!!!
TERMS OF RECOGNITION OF THE LOG:
Make a photo of yourself nearby any spherical stone
(if you are alone, the photo both of GPS and any spherical
stone is sufficient).
Answer these questions:
1) Measure the girth of the middle
spherical object at above-the-ground part of it and
also its width. (Round the numbers to decimetres.)
2) What is the name of area at the border
of Moravia and Slovakia, where the nearest finding of
similar spherical object is located? (google)
