Fridastatyn
Frida var en karaktär i Birger Sjöbergs dikter och visor som inspirerades av hans ungdomskärlek Karin Lustine. Statyn är gjuten i brons, sockeln är i granit och på den finns en medaljong med vänersborgsfödde skalden Birger Sjöbergs bild. Skulptören var Axel Wallenberg.
Karin Lustine
Karin föddes 1886 i Vänersborg och hon var den unge Birger Sjöbergs stora kärlek under ungdomsåren och det var med henne i tanke han skrev kärleksvisan ”Den första gång jag såg dig” år 1905. En sommardag 1907 friade Birger till Karin men han fick nobben och det var något som innebar en personlig katastrof för honom och kärleksfiaskot förföljde honom livet igenom. Fem år efter Birgers frieri gifte sig Karin med köpman Hugo Timén och de flyttade till Göteborg. Karin avled 1962 och hon ligger begravd på Strandkyrkogården i Vänersborg (N58 22.353 E012 19.050).

Ta ett kort på er själv (eller del av er själv, ej på er GPS, telefon eller dylikt) tillsammans med Fridastatyn och där ni håller någonting med loggningsdagens datum på (datumet ska vara tydligt läsbart).

The Frida statue
Frida was a character in Birger Sjöberg's poems and ballads inspired by his early love Karin Lustine. The statue is cast in bronze, the pedestal is in granite and there is a medallion with the in Vänersborg born poet Birger Sjöberg's picture. The sculptor was Axel Wallenberg.
Karin Lustine
Karin was born in 1886 in Vänersborg and she was the great love of the young Birger Sjöberg and it was with her in mind that he wrote the love song "Den första gång jag såg dig" (”The First Time I Saw You”) in 1905. A summer day 1907 Birger asked Karin to marry him but her answer was no and it was something that meant a personal disaster for him and the love fiasco followed him through life. Five years after Birger's marriage proposal Karin married the merchant Hugo Timén and they moved to Gothenburg. Karin died in 1962 and she is buried at Strandkyrkogården in Vänersborg (N58 22.353 E012 19.050).
To log the geocache, you have to:
Take a photo on yourself (or part of yourself, not on your GPS, phone or something like that) along with the Frida statue and where you hold something with the logging day's date (the date should be clearly visible).
