Geocache Description:

The Grand Daddy of all Red tailed hawks in Manhattan lives near here. Since his offspring live near one of our other caches, Wildlife in the City, we thought we would place a cache here too. You need to sit here for a while and look around to see his family in action, so we made this a puzzle cache to help you pass the time.

On nice days, birdwatchers set up telescopes here and keep them trained on Pale Male's nest, high above 5th Avenue. They can tell you much more about the Red Tailed Hawks current activities. The hawks are some of the most majestic, beautiful birds to be found in Central park. With everyone staring at them it's easy to forget that there are other birds here too.
