Hampshire County Council are putting on (with alot of help from geocachers)the world's first public Geocaching event with live remote internet connection on site
Please visit www.hants.gov.uk/geocaching to get the full details.
There will be 12 (yes, that's TWELVE!) caches set for the day for those new to geocaching (with some assistance from some more-experienced cachers).
There will be several geocaching related stalls there too, giving a chance to play with some of the latest new 'toys', or to buy geocaching merchandise!
Local GPS manufacturer, Garmin, have donated *three* GPSr's as prizes for newcomers to the sport, and GeocacheUK have also given a GPSr as a prize.
For the Geocachers who help out, there will be overnight camping on the Friday & Saturday, and a BBQ (bring your own food & booze).
The location given (N 51 03.625, W 001 22.849) is for the public / day-visitor parking.
Parking for the campers is in the camping field which is at N51 03.744, W 001 22.934 (you'll need a permit for these... email THE BRAMBLERS for details)
