This is a nice little mystery which will require some math on the way to finding the cammo painted plastic container hidden out and about. The original contents of the cache contain several small trinkets placed in the container by AJ and Lil’K. You will also find a log book with writing utensil.
Bears often have an effect on fish habitat. Maybe not around here, but in Alaska where you find plenty of fish, you may also find bears.
First you must go to coordinates listed for this cache and find the bears in a tree. You need to count the number of bears you see in the tree and remember this number.
Reservoirs often contain fish and have many habitat issues. McKay Reservoir is a habitat for many birds which winter over during the cold months and even home to a nesting pair of Bald Eagles. This is one reason why the reservoir grounds are closed for much of the winter.
Next, go to N45 35.806 W118 47.937. This is near the entrance to McKay Reservoir. You need to determine the month number, the number of letters in that month, and the day of the month when the reservoir opens each year. For example, if the reservoir opened on May 15, then the month number would be 5, the day of the month would be 15, and the number of letters in the month would be 3.

* Add together the number of letters in the month when the reservoir opens and the number of bears you saw to get digits C and D.
* Add together the month number when the reservoir opens and the number of bears you saw to get digits A and F.
* Subtract 1 from the day number when the reservoir opens to get the digit E.
* Take the number of days in the month and divide by 5, rounding this answer to the nearest integer. This digit will be B.
