The cache is placed near the ruin of Bonamargy Friary on the A2 just out of Ballycastle on the Cushendall Road, there is a small car park off the road near the Friary. It was built in the early 1500's and was occupied by the Third order of Franciscans, the church was burned in 1584 but the McDonnells who acquired the friary in 1599 added a private chapel in 1621. Allegedly a Black nun (Julia McQuillan) lived and died here in the 1600's, it was her last wish to be buried near the entrance to the chapel so that worshippers on entering would tread on her grave as a token of her humility. She is supposedly buried under a stone slab marked with a holestone cross. Cache is a micro inside a larger container
