Geocache Description:

This puzzle cache will give you a tour of the Grant County International Airport and Port of Moses Lake Industrial Park. The terrain is quite easy, and there is only a short walk from the car to the final cache. Do your research before going after this puzzle, it is needed to complete the find. This challenge is not for those who hate math, the math is not too difficult, just look at it as serious story problems.

Both the first coordinates and final coordinates will give you a good look at the airport and surrounding area. I hope that you get to visit this cache on a day when Japanese Airlines are flying their Boeing 747's, or when the military is practicing touch and go's with the big C-17's. If you go after this cache on a moonless night, you might even see some of the experimental aircraft that is test flown in this area. Nothing like Area 51, but there are a few curious aircraft out there.

Before venturing out to seek this cache, visit the airport's website at www.portofmoseslake.com. Read through the history and see pictures of the airport. There you will find some numbers that are needed to complete the math questions below. The coordinates listed above will take you to a location near the boundary fence of the airport property. There is no need to leave your vehicle, just write down the sign text that is hanging on the airport boundary fence. Using this text, and the numbers gathered from the airport's website, the questions below should be no problem.

The final cache coordinates are:

N 47*AB.CDD W 119*EF.GHI, using the information below to fill in the letters.

A = The total number of letter "H" on the sign.
B = The total number of letter "T" on the sign.
C = The number of acres the airport occupies divided by 1/2 the width of the main runway subtracted from the total number of letters on the sign.
DD = The width of the main runway divided by the number of runways plus the number of letters "O" and "E" on the sign.
E = The total number of letter "V" on the sign.
F = The total number of letters on the sign multiplied by the width of the main runway minus twice the width of the runway divided by 1000.
G = The length of the main runway minus the number of acres the airport occupies divided by the number derived from adding the total number of the letters "L", "I", "U", and "G" on the sign, then divided by 1/2 the width of the main runway.
H = The total number of letters "W" and "B" on the sign.
I = The total number of letters "D", "R", and "S" on the sign.

There is no need to cross any fences, nor violate any of the posted no trespassing signs in order to retrieve this cache. Please be respectful of the posted signs.

The final cache was at one time an ammo can. The cover this size of cache container requires has decreased, causing the ammo can to go missing. The cache is now a micro log only container. Feel free to contact me with questions, and happy caching.
