Cache is located in the woods behind the Chestnut Street Annex of
the North Reading Recreation Area. Some off trail bushwhacking
involved but no thorns, poison ivy or thick underbrush to deal
with.
We are placing this cache during one of our favorite holiday
seasons, so we decided to go with a spooky theme. Soccerqueen626
came up with the name, chasandmeg picked the location. It is
located in the woods behind the Chestnut Street Annex of the North
Reading Recreation Area. We spend a lot of time here while
Soccerqueen626 practices her art on Maguire Memorial Field. Follow
the trail for a ways. When you get to the trees blocking the way,
you’ll have to bushwhack up the hill a bit. The cache is a long
plastic army surplus cylinder filled with some appropriately themed
goodies. Don’t feel obligated to continue the theme with your trade
items. There is a parking area at the field, although it may be
full Saturdays during spring and fall Soccer seasons. There is also
a nice playground for the little cachers (currently under
renovation). Park hours are dawn to dusk. Congrats to Loch Cache
and BigRock 95 for a spooky midnight FTF!
