Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Sprague Woods on the nothern edge of the city of Caledonia (the wild turkey capital of Minnesota). The paths are very well groomed and the cache is very 'family friendly'. You are looking for a tupperware container covered in tie-dye tape. Inside are various kids toys and a logbook. Kids from a nearby daycare found a new "hiding spot" so the cache has been moved from where is was previously. Enjoy!!

The Sprague Woods, north of Alco, were gifted to Caledonia Green on February, 22nd 1995 by the Sprague family. On July 3rd, 2006 - Caledonia Green gifted Sprague Woods to the city of Caledonia who now own and maintain this property. During a desginated 'Arbor Day' each Spring 4th graders from St. Johns Lutheran, St. Marys Catholic and the public school plant trees in the woods as part of their Arbor Day program. They also write essays that are judged that afternoon and prizes are awarded to the winners. The Sprague family have expressed their wish that this area not be developed and remain a park preserve for families to enjoy.
