Flat easy terrain, watch out for local plants.
We are placing our first cache so I thought an easy one to find was in order. The cache has a Kat (cat) theme and is full of Kat related items as well as some other fun stuff. It’s located on flat land but has no trail to it. The Jumping Cholla is very profuse around this area so please watch your step. There are several critters that inhabit the area, I encountered rabbits, giant grasshoppers and even a horny toad sunning himself. I also saw evidence of pack rats, large spiders and various species of birds living in the area. A bored Kat would have plenty of play things to keep himself occupied.
The cache location is what I would call a playground/ghost town. Nearby are scattered remains of tree houses which have not been used in several years if not more so. Those that remain in tact are still up in the trees but please do not touch them as they could come crashing down. I did not place the cache near them so there should be no concern. Other items I placed in the cache are two Micro-Mini geocoins: one is activated and the other is not. A white Jeep (Rubicon) travel bug; a travel bug that likes to hang around other travel bugs and a brand new Krazy Kat Travel bug that we just made. We hope you enjoy our cache and the area.
